D’un monde à l’autre, le Duffle Coat continue de surprendre. Dessiné, pour la première fois, au XIXe siècle pour habiller les marins de la Royal Navy britannique, le désormais célèbre manteau est passé du symbole bourgeois occidental aux épaules des stars de la pop londonienne, au premier rang desquels le leader du groupe Franz Ferdinand. C’est ce mélange des genres, conservant néanmoins ce zeste de côté chic, qui sied le plus au Mathurin. Le luxe d’être chez soi, toujours, teinté de couleurs artistiques au quotidien. Originally designed in the 19th century to outfit the British Royal Navy, this renowned coat has become a symbol of bourgeois elegance in western cultures and at the same time a favourite among rock stars like Alex Kapranos, the front man of Franz Ferdinand.
