Un dimanche, un brunch… Un brunch un peu léger s’il en est mais qui a le mérite de se tenir sur le bord de la Seine dans le 15ème arrondissement parisien, au port de Javel précisement. Le cadre est agréable, la nourriture est de qualité et copieuse, mais le mot Brunch n’est pas exploité au meilleur de ce qu’il peut promettre…
Effectivement, nous sommes dans un restaurant et donc pas de buffet. Pas beaucoup de choix dans le brunch, une corbeille de viennoiseries, un burger ou des oeufs brouillés avec saumon et blinis, et puis un dessert : cheese cake, sorbet ou moelleux au chocolat ; rien de très ennivrant donc.
Le service est de bonne qualité, et de surcroît, étant arrivés sans réservation, Charlotte et moi avons été assis très vite et sur une table très sympa avec vue sur la Seine (alors que le restaurant était plein…). Bref, nous y retournerons pour dîner. La plage Parisienne nous propose aussi de venir nous décontracter et de refaire le monde autour de leur Bar à cocktail… (peut être que Bloody Mary, Mojito et autre Caïpirinha valent le détour…)

Sunday rhymes with brunch… This time quite a light brunch perhaps but one that stood out in that it was sampled on the edge of the River Seine in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, at Port de Javel to be precise. The venue is pleasant, the food is good quality and the portions generous, but the term Brunch did not offer all the promise that it usually does…
We were in a restaurant so there was no buffet. There was not a lot of choice in the brunch, a basket of Danish pastries, a burger or scrambled eggs with salmon and blinis, and then a dessert: cheese cake, sorbet or melt-in-the-middle chocolate cake; in other words nothing to go mad about.
The service is good quality, and what’s more, despite arriving without having booked beforehand, Charlotte and I were seated very quickly at a very nice table with a view of the Seine (even though the restaurant was full…). In short, we will definitely be returning to try an evening meal there. La plage Parisienne is also an address where you can go just to relax and chat in their cocktail bar. (Maybe the Bloody Mary, Mojito and Caïpirinha will be worth the trip…)
