L’Association Noor, au service des enfants marocains

Si vous supportez et vibrez au rythme du XV de France depuis quelques années, vous vous souvenez sûrement du joueur emblématique qu’était Abdelatif Benazzi. Ancien capitaine du XV, il fit les beaux jours de notre équipe nationale dans les années 1990. Depuis qu’il a arrêté le rugby, Abdelatif n’a pas perdu son temps. Parmi ses nombreuses activités, il a crée l’association Noor au Maroc dont l’objectif est d’intégrer les enfants marocains à la société en misant sur le sport et l’éducation.
Afin de financer cette belle œuvre, Abdelatif organise chaque année l’Oriental Legends Pro-Am. Il s’agit d’un tournoi de golf amical qui regroupe des personnalités, chefs d’entreprises et autres bienfaiteurs pendant quelques jours. Je participe d’ailleurs cette année à la quatrième édition du tournoi sur le magnifique parcours de Saïdia au Maroc du 22 au 25 mai. Je suis impatient d’en découdre sur le green avec tous ceux qui ont à cœur ce projet et ont en commun l’amour du golf.

If you’ve been following the exploits of the French national rugby team over the past fifteen years, you’ll surely recall the iconic player Abdelatif Benazzi. Former team captain, he was at the height of his international rugby career in the 1990s. Since he gave up playing, Abdelatif certainly hasn’t wasted any time. Amongst his many other activities, he created the Noor Association in Morocco, which aims to integrate children into society through sport and education. To fund his charity, Abdelatif organises an annual competition called the Oriental Legends Pro-Am. It is a friendly golf tournament that brings together celebrities, business leaders and other benefactors and is held over several days. In fact, this year I’ll be taking part in the fourth annual tournament on the superb Saïdia course in Morocco from 22 to 25 May. I can’t wait to battle it out on the green with all the others who have taken this project to their hearts and share a love of golf.
