L’Hôtel le Mathurin s’associe à la Fédération Française de Golf pour soutenir et accompagner l’organisation et la tenue de la Ryder Cup en 2018 sur le site du Golf National de France. Pour rappel, la Ryder Cup est une compétition qui se tient tous les deux ans, et qui oppose les meilleurs joueurs de golf d’Europe et des Etats-Unis. L’Europe a d’ailleurs remporté les trois dernières compétitions qui se sont tenues en 2010, 2012 et 2014. L’Europe et les Etats-Unis se succèdent alternativement pour l’organisation de la compétition. Ainsi, la prochaine édition aura lieu au « Hazeltine National Golf Club » dans le Minnesota en septembre 2016 et la suivante en France en 2018.
Je suis persuadé de la nécessité pour notre pays d’accueillir ainsi des grands événements de renommée mondiale (au même titre que l’Exposition Universelle de 2025). Je suis, par ailleurs, un grand admirateur et un fervent joueur de golf. J’ai toujours le désir de mettre à profit cette passion pour diverses causes. Ainsi, l’hôtel le Mathurin a plusieurs fois participé aux Trophées du Cœur, un tournoi qui se joue chaque année au profit d’une association. La Ryder Cup est un événement qui associe à la fois la dimension sportive, économique et culturelle, je suis donc ravi que l’hôtel soutienne le projet.
La Commission Ryder Cup 2018 présidé par Pascal Grizot, le vice-président de la Fédération Française de Golf, souhaite « fédérer au sein d’un club toutes les forces vives du tissu économique français prêtes à participer aux côtés de la Fédération Française de Golf à la réussite de la Ryder Cup 2018″. Il s’agit du club 2018 donc l’objectif recherché est « d’impliquer le tissu économique local et national français lié par l’intérêt du golf et / ou ses retombées « business » et auquel le Mathurin vient d’adhérer.
Le Mathurin joins the 2018 club
Le Mathurin Hotel is sponsoring the French Golf Federation to support the organisation and running of the 2018 Ryder Cup on the French Golf National course. Just to remind you, the Ryder is a competition held every two years that pits the best European players against the best players from the United States. Europe has won the last three competitions held in 2010, 2012 and 2014. Europe and the USA take turns to play host to the competition. The next tournament takes place at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota in September 2016 and the one after that will be in France in 2018.
I am absolutely convinced of the need for our country to host major highly reputed world events like this (for the same reasons as the Universal Exhibition in 2025). I am also a big golf fan and an enthusiastic player. I’ve always been keen to put my love for the sport to work for charitable causes. Le Mathurin Hotel has participated several times in the Trophées du Cœur, an annual benefit tournament in aid of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, a charity devoted to heart surgery. The Ryder Cup is an event that combines sport, economy and culture and I am delighted that the hotel is supporting the project.
The President of the 2018 Ryder Cup Commission is Pascal Grizot, Vice-President of the French Golf Federation, and his aim is to « bring together in the club all the resources of interested parties in the French economy wishing to work alongside the French Golf Federation to ensure the success of the 2018 Ryder Cup. » The club he is referring to is the 2018 club whose stated objective is the « involvement of local and national business and institutional structures in France that have a common interest in golf or its business potential ». This is the club that the Mathurin has just joined.
