Miss Dior, premier parfum créé par Christian Dior en 1947, est un symbole autant qu’un mythe. En convoquant le lien indissoluble qui existe entre la célèbre marque de parfum et l’art, la maison de luxe a invité 15 artistes femmes renommées afin de rendre hommage au parfum. Dior à travers cette exposition contemporaine haute en couleur, installée au Grand Palais à Paris, laisse ces femmes exprimer leur vision de la marque par le biais d’œuvre toutes plus originales les unes que les autres. Inspirées par les atouts et le charme de la femme idéale, imaginé par les créateurs de la mythique Fragrance, ces artistes sont amenés à proposer une création contemporaine en lien avec le parfum.
On y retrouvera l’artiste américaine Polly Apfelbaum, la photographe réalisatrice libano-égyptienne Lara Baladi, la peintre et sculptrice française Carole Benzaken, la coréenne Lee Bul, la peintre américaine Karen Kilimnik, l’italienne Carla Mattii, la sculptrice brésilienne Maria Nepomuceno, la photographe et réalisatrice iranienne Shirin Neshat, la japonaise Tomoko Shioyasu, la plasticienne américaine Alyson Shotz, la photographe anglaise Hannah Starkey, la plasticienne portugaise Joana Vasconcelos, la designer française Ionna, la chinoise Liang Yuanwei et la designer slovène Nika Zupanc.
Mais cette exposition originale est aussi une formidable occasion de pouvoir entrer dans l’univers luxueux de la célèbre marque française et de visiter son glorieux passé. Une manière des plus sympathiques de faire grandir l’amour mutuel entre la marque et ses admiratrices.

The symbolic, mythical Miss Dior was the first perfume created by Christian Dior in 1947. Remaining close to the historical link between the famous perfume brand and art, Dior has invited 15 renowned female artists to pay homage to the perfume.
During the vibrant, contemporary exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, Dior invites the women to express their visions of the brand through the creation of original works of art. The guests draw on the charms and features of the ‘perfect woman’ image developed by the legendary Fragrance, and use this inspiration to create a contemporary installation interwoven with the perfume.
The guest list includes the American artist Polly Apfelbaum, the Lebanese-Egyptian photographer and director Lara Baladi, the French painter and sculptor Carole Benzaken, the Korean contemporary artist Lee Bul, the American painter Karen Kilimnik, the Italian nature artist Carla Mattii, the Brazilian sculptor Maria Nepomuceno, the Israeli photographer and director Shirin Neshat, the Japanese tapestry artist Tomoko Shioyasu, the American visual artist Alyson Shotz, the English photographer Hannah Starkey, the Portuguese visual artist Joana Vasconcelos, the French designer Ionna, the Chinese contemporary artist Liang Yuanwei and the Slovenian designer Nika Zupanc.
