L’Hôtel de Sers à Paris près des Champs Elysées dans le 8ème, a commandé sa nouvelle identité musicale au Lieutenant Nicholson, alias Nicolas Voulzy. Ainsi, le fils de Laurent Voulzy a composé avec ses acolytes dont son ami Charles Souchon (fils de plus connu sous le pseudo d’Ours)  un album pour cet hôtel « design de luxe 5 étoiles » : 18 titres de musique lounge à l’instar du Buddha Bar et de l’hôtel George V. Si les critiques ne sont pas toujours positives, je trouve l’album intéressant sur des rythmes et mélodies très « Paris dernières ».

Cela me rappelle un peu en effet les sélections de Béatrice Ardisson que j’ai choisie pour l’habillage sonore du Mathurin.

Nicolas Voulzy serenades the Hotel de Sers
The Hotel de Sers in Paris, near the Champs Elysées in the 8th arrondissement, has enlisted the help of Lieutenant Nicholson, alias Nicolas Voulzy, for its new musical identity. So, the son of the famous singer and composer Laurent Voulzy has put together an album for this ‘luxury design 5-star hotel’ with a group of musicians including his friend Charles Souchon (son of the equally famous singer-songwriter-composer Alain Souchon) who works under the pseudo ‘Ours’ (Bear). The album features 18 tracks of lounge music in the same vein as Buddha Bar and the musical identity of the Hotel George V. Even if the critics are not all positive, I find the album interesting with its very ‘urban hip’ rhythms and melodies.
It also reminds me of the compilations by Béatrice Ardisson that I have chosen for the musical ambiance at Le Mathurin.
