En été, les festivals sont légions à vouloir capter l’attention du public à grand renfort d’affiches plus colorées les unes que les autres. Dans cette avalanche visuelle, le festival musical Rock en Seine 2012 se fait remarquer.
D’abord, parce qu’il est le dernier événement musical de la capitale avant les premiers frimas de septembre. Ensuite, parce qu’il fête, cette année, les 10 ans de sa création et que son succès va croissant au fil du temps. Avec 600 000 spectateurs depuis sa première édition et plus de 110 000 en 2011, il est devenu l’un des principaux festivals en France. Rock en Seine se tiendra, cette année, au Parc de Saint-Cloud autour d’une programmation musicale éclectique mais toujours rock. Le Festival aura lieu de ce soir au 26 août prochain. 60 groupes sont au programme sur 4 scènes différentes.
Les concerts commenceront à 15h00 les vendredi et samedi, et à 14H00 le dimanche. Outre les poids lourds, sont attendus plusieurs « revenants » et beaucoup d’habitués. Et comme de coutume, ce sera sur les petites scènes que se révèleront les plus belles surprises. En fait, le festival réunit le meilleur de la scène pop & rock internationale, des têtes d’affiches emblématiques aux découvertes en pleine ascension. Samedi 25 août : The Black Keys, Noel Gallagher & The High Flying Birds, Agoria, Eagels Of Death Metal, Deus, Mark Lanegan, Maximo Park, Speech Debelle, Childish Gambino, The Bewitched Hands, The Black Seeds, Caravan Palace, Ed Sheeran, The Bots, Granville et Hyphen Hyphen. Dimanche 26 août : Green Day, Grandaddy, Foster The People, The Dandy Warhols, Stuck In The Sounds, Friends, Passion Pit, Dope D.O.D, Little Dragon, Social Distortion, Beach House, Bombay Bicycle Club, Yeti Lane et The Lanskies.
Côté tarifs, il faut compter 49 euros le pass à la journée et 109 euros pour les trois jours. La billetterie est, évidemment ouverte ! A l’occasion de ce 10ème anniversaire, les responsables du festival laisseront aux festivaliers le soin de raconter leur propre expérience de Rock en Seine. Une page Facebook a été spécialement ouverte pour qu’ils racontent leurs souvenirs, décrivent les concerts mythiques auxquels ils ont assisté ou relatent leurs anecdotes les plus marquantes. During the summer, countless festivals battle it out to attract the most audience, each poster bolder and brighter than the last. One in particular stands out from this visual avalanche: the Rock en Seine 2012 music festival.
On the one hand, because it is the last music event in the capital before the return of September’s cooler weather. And on the other, because it will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and its success has been rocketing year after year. With 600,000 spectators since its first edition and more than 110,000 in 2011, it has become one of the main festivals in France. This year, Rock en Seine will take place in the Parc de Saint-Cloud with an eclectic but rock-themed musical programme. The Festival will take place from Tonight till 26 August.
60 groups will perform on 4 different stages. The concerts will start at 3 pm on Friday and Saturday and at 2 pm on Sunday. Apart from major performers, several comeback artists and many regulars are expected. And as usual, the small stages will boast the most wonderful surprises in terms of performances. Indeed, the festival brings together the best international pop and rock artists, from emblematic headline acts, to recently discovered rising artists. As for admission prices, a one-day pass costs 49 euros and a three-day pass costs 109 euros. Tickets sales are naturally open! For this 10th anniversary, the festival organisers will be letting festival-goers tell their own stories about their Rock en Seine experience. A Facebook page has been set up especially for people to share their memories and most unforgettable anecdotes, and to describe the mythical concerts they have seen. Lastly, a book will be published by La Martinière Publishing House on 23 August 2012. What a nice coincidence!
